modacar quoted me 1800 labor for the greddy TT kit
The devil is in the details. We can do Greddy kits with intercooler installed and tuned for $9000'ish. We can also do them for $15K.
It just depends on what the customer wants...in terms of additional parts...and what type of power goal they have in mind.
People often get caught up in price alone. The fact is, the customer that spends $10K, gets $10K worth of goodies, and the guy that spends $15K gets $15K in goodies.
For instance, add a clutch/flywheel, exhaust, gauges, fuel system..etc..etc..and you are at $15K very easily.

One has to be very specific about what they are planning to be doing with their car before they start spending lots of money. Most of these cars have plenty of power and where the real performance is going to be seen, in the hands of a skilled driver, is in modifications to the suspension, and perhaps the brakes. If one then decides to step it up with power, you have the motor and drivetrain issues. A car is a balanced package, so stepping up the hp and tq necessitates a lot of other mods, IF you want to keep a balanced and reliable/durable platform. You can do a few things that will get you a burst of power or a short term power advantage in a straight line........but to sustain it without breaking is the key. That takes a lot of time and effort, and alas more money. But once you have it, you have something awesome.
