Turboxs Knocklite: Anyone get the shiftlight to work?
Hello guys, I know this is not a FI specific post but.. the section has the most knowledge
I have hooked up my turboxs Knocklite, and the knock sensing feature works, but the shiftlight feature does not. As our cars do not have a tach signal, I connected it to injector #1.
Has anyone gotten the shiftlight to work or is it a lost cause due to no tach signal wire.
Does the knocklite take into accout the single ignition coil signal and convert it to RPM?
Thanks in advance,
Aaron

I'd like to know how you got the knock light to work - is it connected off the Molex connector? I was told that without the Tuner Pro, it was a no go. I was also told that the shift light output (again from the Molex connector) was a no go w/ the 2.8 firmware.
Ok, i see the other thread you resurrected - good find. I see how the knock light is supposed to work. Anyway, Jermaine told me the shift light feature is currently broken in 2.8 firmware.

no I didnt connect it to the molex, I just wired it to the ecu knock pin #15 on the G35.. not sure what it is on the 350z. It is not meant to connect to the UTEC from my understanding, just the DTEC.

+1 I got an email from Turboxs that the knocklite is totally an independent product that connect to your ECU.
This what they sent me
"The knocklite connects to your ecu leads. Power, Ground, Ignition Number 1 and the knock sensor."
Edit:
I didn't know you got the knock sensor working, that is the main reason I wanted this so I guess I'm good to go
