i am not FI (yet) but was curious being N/A if running 100 octane will make any difference in power. there is a gas station near me that has it at i think i saw $5 and change a gallon. i was thinking of filling her up and see if there is any difference. will this cause any harm to my car? is 100 octane pretty much for beasts only?
and sorry if this isnt in the proper forum. i just have no idea where elso to put it.

According to my tuner RREV Motorsports, you don't need new fuel lines or injectors.
However, you do need a fuel system that is 30% more capable than what you're running on gasoline now. In other words, you'll need bigger injectors and a fuel return system...or a twin pump system if you're already high HP.
Besides that, a good tune will do. A good idea would be to have a "gasoline" map and a "E85" map with your UTEC or FCON.

I think you are not quite understanding how the octane is related to horsepower... No, just adding 110 octane fuel will NOT increase the power. If you want the significant horsepower increase, you must retune your ECU for that octane level. If it's for the NA vehicle, advancing the timing is the only way for you to increase the power. If you were F/I, then advancing timing and increasing the boost will yield a significant power gain.
To sum up, don't waste your money unless you plan to retune your ECU. 91~93 octane should be more than sufficient for your engine...
