HKS Compressor Surge?
I've been doing some research on this subject lately and apparently my HKS SSQV is giving me Compressor Surge at anything except high boost or near-WOT applications. The flutter does sound cool but I read that surge is bad for the Turbo.
I'm thinking of switching BOV's to something else, I'm really liking the Synchronic Synapse BOV's.
Any information would be great.

OK so now I read that the HKS is built to INTENTIONALLY make the flutter if you let off during low boost or let off the gas slowly. Remember at full boost/WOT my BOV sounds perfectly normal. I'm being told that the "Super-Sequential" part is what makes that flutter.
Thanks
Thanks
You sure it's compressor surge and not the BOV fluttering? The HKS SSQV will flutter at low boost. I had the same BOV on my turbo ZX2 and it behaved exactly how you describe it (flutter low boost/part throttle, nice WHOOSH at full boost and at high rpm).
