CJm Stage 2 - Slow Leak
Well, recently when I had my car up on the rack, my shop noticed that the fitting that joins the hardline to the fuel output hose had a droplet of fuel on it, they retightened it but it still seems to have a VERY slow leak. Anyone else have this problem? Is it a major concern? Could the reason there is a leak be because I am @ ~58PSI fuel pressure with the vaccum line out (49-50 with it in)? I know that is higher then normal.
Thanks,
Aaron

no amount of pressure the pump can create should be able to cause a leak. try disconnecting the union and use a piece of scotch-brite to remove any deposits, debris, rough spots, or corrosion and then retighten and see what happens. if it still leaks let me know if its coming from the hardpipe side of the union fitting or the hose side and we will take care of it.
as for now, it is of no major concern if it is as slow as you say and in that location away from any serious heat. just dont jump the car thru any burning rings of fire and it will be safe until we settle it.

yes it is a braided steel line under the rubber coating. its not a rubber line, its a teflon line. the hose ends are crimped on. its possible that it could be coming from the crimp, we have had a bad crimp here and there over the last couple years, if thats the case ill just shoot you over a new hose.
when I 1st install my CJM, everything was perfect.
when I installe my Greddy Kit, I must have jarred the connection to the hard pipe a bit loose. I noticed a small fuel leak (drip by drip) fom the connection.
I ended up having to "man up" and just really use a **** load of strength to crank down on that fitting. I though it was as tight as it could go, but I managed to crank it a bit more, and that solved the problem!
