I think its cool you want to try something different but my advise would be to do the research, call some of the reputable shops that are vendors here and also ask questions on the forum that you could find using the SEARCH function on this site.
Good luck.

Looks like the failboat succeeds... well not yet... but it ain't capsized.
I'll be going custom FI as well. It helps when you know somebody or even have a sibling that can TIG and MIG weld and works for AMS
Or have an NHRA class champion doing your work...

A single turbo on a Honda is NOTHING like a single turbo setup on a Z. I'm not saying it can't be done, only that it's a much harder task due to the V motor and absolute lack of space to route piping.

/\ +1 Like I said on your Driver thread, this is going to be a lot of trial and error especially on the Turbo side. I say if he can build your engine then fine go ahead but just get a standard kit coz that will save a lot of headache, plus what about warranty on the Turbo and parts?

Well, whatever happens, I'll be waiting for the outcome because I'll be facing a custom twin setup in the future. Only problem is I do want to go with a proven set of manifolds, like a JWT set and throw my own turbos on it and route all other piping, etc.
Because if you think about it, they all piece stuff together that you can EASILY buy individually for much cheaper. It's the R&D into the turbos, entire intake, and entire exhaust that the kit includes is where the real issues lie... which is why I want to take 1 of those DIY steps out of the picture and get some JWT or similar manifolds.
