You will hopefully hit the common sense branch falling down the tree-where you will learn guesstimating power is silly (every car/set-up is different) and similar to bench racing.

I'm still anxiously waiting on shipment.

On a side note, do you think I would have a loss of power if I switched to a nismo exhaust + y-pipe instead of my current Stillen TD exhaust? I like the look but at the same time I'm not looking to sacrifice power.

From what I've read, a true dual is less beneficial to Vortechs than a single. I always thought the Vortech guys had the benefit of running whatever Exhaust they had a personal preference for.

I'm on Nismo Y and Exhaust. I am also probably the LEAST boosted Vortech and thus weakest Vortech here, except for maybe the 18A/F guy .
Hope it helps.

BTW, new or used?

Bought the kit used. I guess I might look into the trade then. Just outta curiousity, how much power are you making?

^It hurts when people ask that. 06 5AT ZR. At 5PSI (3.33 with a massive intercooler) I'm at 313WHP 282 WTQ. Awesome for DD, HORRIBLE for FI. But I just remind myself, I didn't spend much more doing this over all bolt ons, and I still have more power than bolt ons could have made.
Oh, only other power mod is the nismo exhaust.

I'm glad to hear you bought used, oddly enough, you'll probably have less chance of having the blower fail.

Yeah I'm crossing my fingers on that. I'm probably just gonna throw the 3.12 pulley on there and hope for the best.

hard to guess man.. with exhaust, cold air kit made for the vortech, 3.12 pulley, fuel pump, test pipes and a good tune i made 395/325 on a dynojet. I've seen some with the same setup only get 375 to though.

I'm hoping I at least get 375.

But on a side note. I haven't even received the kit yet. I paid throuh paypal in full a week and 3 days ago. The guy was supposed to send it out either on the friday or this saturday that just passed. He hasn't been picking up or returning my phone calls. What should I do? This is big money we're talking about and I'm kinda worried? Any suggestions?

Bought it used unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it)

BTW anyone know of a replacement in-line fuel pump I can purchase instead of the stock vortech unit? Preferably one that will work with the vortech FMU.
