BTW anyone know of a replacement in-line fuel pump I can purchase instead of the stock vortech unit? Preferably one that will work with the vortech FMU.
Most people use the Walbro fuel pump.

The Walbro is not a replacement for the Vortech Aux fuel pump. It's a replacement for the stock Fuel pump..The FMU feeds the Aux fuel pump which provides the fuel needed during boost...

You might want to do a little research . Your statement is a little off

So then I should just not run the FMU at all with the walbro 255?

[QUOTE=istan]I believe a Walbro 255 is a Vortech FMU replacement..

The Walbro is a replacement for the stock fuel regulator. It may also serve as a replacement for the combo of FMU and Aux fuel pump depending on the engine power level and achieving appropriate and safe A/F ratio..The FMU w/o the Aux fuel pump does nothing. The FMU/Aux fuel pump allows a 8:1 fuel pressure increase during boost..

Agreed. Anything higher than that and you'll be too lean to support it for long. Pay for a good tuner. Tune out of the box is pig rich.

yeah run the walbro and remove the aux pump and FMU. you will not get the high *** pressure increase during boost, but the walbro flows more fuel. It's better to increase fuel flow and have a lower fuel pressure.

just make sure u have an EMS to support it

I will be running the Split Second box. I'm assuming its not good enough right? Should I just run the inline pump and FMU that came with the kit?

But, you have to do the Walbro orifice jet drilling mod (per T'netics) to have the fuel pressure in the 50's..

I remember the numbers you told me you got. Was that on a conservative tune. What kind of AF are you running to redline?
