Default Engine Problems (pistons), Need Help!

I have a g35 coupe 2006 AT, running vortech s/c with stock pulley, am getting oil leak all over my engine, i took it to the garage he told me pistons 2,4,6 are weak and they are leaking oil, and i have to replace my pistons.

this problem started the first time after pressing on 4th gear for a while in a ~35C temp (noon), but after that the car ran normally without any loss of power for few days, then when i pressed on 4th gear again, on a ~28C temp (night), it leaked again, and now my intake, S/C and intercooler are filled with oil, both times my water temp was normal. so is there a chance it can be something else...

thanks in advance.

Strange terminology for a mechanic to use.

I guess he means that those pistons failed a leakdown test?

If the intercooler pipe and the intercooler has oil in it . The seals are bad in the blower . There is no way that your 2,4,6 pistons could be causing oil to leak into the intercooler .

The BLOWER IS BAD....NOT THE MOTOR !!!!!!
DONT go back to that shop !!!!!

worn out pistons aren't going to cause oil to leak out of the engine and on to the floor of your garage!!!

Arias pistons don't take naps right?

Is there an additive you can put in with your next oil change with a healthy dose of caffeine to wake those pistons up?

After hearing from the semi-pro booger, I'd say he's nailed it dead on...

hmmm, so i went and started the car today, first i get smoke from the front of the car, which i think its from the intercooler and s/c... and i get black smoke coming out of my exhaust, i am thinking maybe cuz the car is running too rich?!.... but the main issue is my car viberates at idle, i was thinking maybe the spark plugs are flooded with oil..... so i went for a test run, the car is running pretty normal.... so guys can you plz help me confirm the issues i got if its cuz of the oil leak from the s/c...

Have it towed to a reputable shop. Tired pistons? I don't know where to tell you to go in the UAE, but the shop you went to is full of ****.

+1 on booger's theory. Sounds like the Vortech has seal issues.

Perhaps the mechanic meant the pistons failed a compression test or had "weak" or "low" compression. There can be several causes to your issues. However these may be the main 2 to look at.
1) if the oil drainback line from the blower is obstructed or kinked,it will cause oil to come from the seals of the blower and into your intake.
2)excessively rich (black smoke) A/F ratios, can cause the cylinder walls to be "washed", which refers to the excessive gasoline washing the oil from the cylinder walls, therfore reducing the lubricating properties and damaging your rings.

There are other issues such as a leaky valve train seal, lifted, leaking headgasket, ect..
However from the sounds of it, from what you posted.i would start with the 2 above things.Oh and post the compression test results..

When I cracked my piston rings with my ATI Procharger I had oil everywhere. Where does the crank vent go on the Vortech? The ATI leaves it vented to atmosphere, causing oil to leak on my floor. If the crank vent is tied in before the blower wouldn't it be possible to fill all the piping up if he had bad rings?

I'm guessing the mechanic said the cylinders had weak compression. I would get a compression test done and post the results here.

This could be a possibility also . The crank case vent hose is hooked up to the air filter . He said over at G35driver that he is running the 3.33 stock pulley . So

1- how long [ miles ] has this SC been installed ?
2- has the car been tuned ? Or is it running the stock Vortech tune ?
3- what octane of gas do you run ?

1. almost 2k-3k
2. it has been tuned
3. 98 octane as i remember.

i went to onther shop today, and he told me the piston rings are leaking...

so i got this list of parts he requires, tell me what do u think

arias pistons 9.0
ARP L19 head stud kit
HKS metal head gaskets
Eagle rods or pauter rods (dunno which one is better?!)
ARP head and main stud kit

do i need anything else?!

Get away from that shop. You don't want lower compression pistons on a blower motor.

Do you have copy of a dyno with your A/F on it ?

Hard to believe a low mile 06 motor running a stock Vortech kit pulley and 98 octane gas , has bad rings or broken ringlands . Unless of coarse the tune was not pulling any or very little timing . How much whp and how much boost is this car running ?
