Default Clutch dead.......

My ACT clutch is dead , last night after start the engine ,with the pedal pushed, I could hear a clink-clank-clank ,now I can´t shift any gear.
I need an advice on a good street clutch , I was very happy with the ACT street disc , never had a problem with it , and I´m running 14 lb.

Clutchmasters FX400, holds power well and soft pedal, engagement is a little rough in the lower gears at slow speeds but nothing compared to the twin disk clutches and price is good. Good streetable clutch.

I like my South Bend clutch
Its the only one I have used in my Z, but so far it has been fine, about 7000 miles on it and still holds like it was new

per their specs I would say it would be good for 500RWHP so it would depend on your driving

Do you have the 4 or 6 puck clutch disk?

How much harder is the pedal than stock?

If you want a clutch that can hold power, and still be quiet and driveable you can look into our line of GTM/Exedy twin disk carbon clutches.

6 puck, the pedal actually felt softer than stock, only difference I feel is that it engages harder, more on/off than the stock mainly in that 1st to 2nd shift at slower speeds, but definitely better than some twin disks I have driven, which why I researched for a single disk

Get the ATS twin disc with 1350kg pressure plate. It is very streetable and considerably cheaper than the Exedy

Our Twin disc carbon hold more power than the ATS twin, is very quiet, and will last. As far as price, it is a little more than a ATS twin, not much, and it is a better clutch.

Either way I hope you get a clutch that works for you at a good price.

I don´t want to spend more than 2 grand in a clutch.
I will try with the clutchmasters fx-300 , I see some guys ,with more than 450rwhp, with the fx-100 without a problem.
I didn´t have any trouble ( no spin at all ) with my ACT street disc , my disc is in perfect shape , only the pressure plate was destroyed , so.......we will see..........

you should be good, I have been very impressed with the Clutchmasters, I know someone with the FX400 at 600RWHP that has taken it to the dragstrip many times with slicks and the clutch still holding strong, the axles broke but the clutch still going strong.
