Vortech has handled any issues with top notch service for sure...

Remember , this applies to all Vortech dealers so make sure you run out and get one if you are already thinking about it now

Jeremy you done any Revup Vortechs? Ive "heard" they dont make as much power as regualr VQ's-perhaps has to do with the ECT, and that they make kess boost per rpm than standard motors. What are your thoughts?

well, we have a done a few Rev ups. the thing is that because of the shape of the timing cover in front, they had to change the cog pulley sizes. so , in return the 3.12 pulley makes less boost.

the revups actually make more power per psi with the Vortech. we have seen 10-20 more hp on the same levels of boost.

you just have to have the 2.87 pulley as the upgraded pulley cause the rev up kit comes with the 3.12 pulley.

Since they have seen all these issues lately, do you know if they have tried to be proactive in eliminating the issues with new product or would I have to take a wait and see approach on when the blower is going to shred itself? I would like to know that if I install one of these I'm not driving it to break it, to get it fixed, to finally have the Vortech I wanted to begin with.

well before the kits were double checked and tested, now they are being check ed and tested 3 or 4 times over to make sure that everything is 100% when it goes out.

believe me, Vortech doesnt want to do any warranty work just as bad as people dont want to have any warranty work done

Not sure what "checking "means". When I called them about repairing my blower I asked if they put them on a bench and spin them up and check under dynamic operation.. Like spin them up to rated RPM. No we don't do that, we visually QC check them. If QC check and double dheck is what they plan, it's not going to tell if the blower is functionally working..

That's interesting. Good to know though. I have a RevUp and it didn't make as much boost as we thought it would. Maybe this is the reason why. The car still runs very strong but the whp numbers were a bit lower than we were expecting to see.

Jeremy,

Thats a nice thing here about the RevUp's.
