Hey everyone I just bought an 03 base Z with a PE twin turbo kit. I was told the car has a base tune through an ss box and has very mild mods. The car is great but I have been having a few problems. First the a/c turns on and doesn't turn off when I romp on it. It pretty much turns off when it wants to and can get quite annoying. Second :The car has a strong smell of fuel when i fill up the tank and also during rough driving I have stillen test pipes installed. I was told by the seller that he had the dealership check it out and they could not find the prob but sait it nothing to worry about i saw the reciept. Third: where is the ss box usually located on a Z I cant find mine. I appreciate any advice provided thank you all.

 

1. Cant help you on the ac problem.
2.Sounds like the o ring at the fuel pump has gone bad or not installed correctly.
3.Test pipes will give you a strong smell of gas fumes.
4.Have no idea where they put the ss box.

 

The ac control box is behind the dash below the radio. To get to it, pull up the plastic piece around the shifter. The ac control is a white box. The ribbon cable may be loose which may cause the random WOT from the AC.
