/\ Dont let go of the bottle. the STS will run out of gas around 450whp so you can drive at that level and hit the bottle when on the track

So even with a built block bigger turbo I'm not gonna acheieve more than 450hp? That sucks. Don't wanna run nitrous bc of bad exp lol

Not with the turbo that come with the basic kit.
They (STS) have a new compressor that they are testing so hope that will yield more power.

I'm doing a copy and paste here...

A T04E 60 trim compressor has a max flow of 50 lb/min or roughly 500 HP. The actual amount you see to the wheels will depend largely on other factors but I wouldn't expect to see much more then 450 MAX on this compressor set up (maybe more with Water/Meth kit). Peak pressure within the efficiency island is about 26 PSI however the 50 lb/min of max flow is found at about 20.5 PSI. Going above that won't net you anything but hot air.

Yeah I have been trolling through here everyday. No real point in posting since there is more drama then a bunch of high school girls recently in the forced induction section. The car is running great. Its really loving the cold 30 degree nights. I went and did some datalogging the other night on the highway my air fuels were looking good. Cant complain I have 16k miles on my turbo kit now and drive it everyday and havent had to do anything other than take the air filter off and clean it a few times. I still find it hard to believe the reliability I have had thus far with this turbo kit. I havent had one problem with it.

good to hear bro. I'm trying to schedule a tuning session at performance factory ASAP but I think Jeremy is in Australia or whatever right now so I guess when he comes back.

+1 on the drama in the FI section

You guys have been great with information about this kit. I have a question, how is the throttle response when your in the rev range for full boost. If you let totally off the throttle and get back on it again?

Like stock but scary because getting back on the throttle = instant loss of traction.

Throttle response is all in the tune btw.

if you PLAN up building your internals why not go with a kit with more potential???

b/c with the goals that I have, I dont really care about making globs of power. I just want to safeguard a little against a blown engine even tho I plan on running low boost. And I truly do like the design of the STS kit.

at 5-6 psi then you don't need any Engine work. Teg has over 16K miles and he just upgraded to 10psi, Daniel also has thousands of miles and he's running 7.5psi, I'm running 8psi and all of us have Stock Motor.

haha, I'll be down on saturday the 26'th. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do yet. I don't think I'm gonna up the boost as much as John did. I'm thinking maybe just bump it up to like 8 pounds or so. I wanna stay conservative until i can build the motor and then see what the current turbo is good for
