Default Group for upgraded vortech (2.62 help)

Hey guys from the looks of it many of the rev-up vortech guys are looking to go 2.62 pulley as am I. Another member said to contact Unorthodox company to create a custom setup to help with belt slippage. Just to have a number to work with how many people are interested. Belt slippage FTL!!!

If the rev up has a 32 tooth blower pulley [ not for sure ] Why not go down to the 30 or 28 tooth blower cog pulley ? You can keep the bigger serp pulley for better belt grabbing ability and still raise boost . Vortech sells the 28 and 30 tooth cogs .

You're also going to be overdriving the blower with anything past 5900RPM. Your seals will be more likely to go bad faster.

I think the Revup has the same 28 tooth pulley as the non-Revup on the blower.

Wish someone with a rev up would count the teeth on the blower cog and the jackshaft cog so we know for sure .

And every one that has gone to smaller serp pulleys for more boost are increasing the risk of the seals going out . Price you pay for more boost .

It's in the manual. Jackshaft pulley is 34T and SC pulley is 32T on RevUps.

dude check the impeller speed calc on vortech's site before posting bad information.

the impeller speed on a revup with 34T J, 3.12 Serp and 28T SC will be within spec up to 6600 RPM

the impeller speed on a revup with 34T J, 32T SC and 2.62 Serp will be within spec up to 6300 RPM

use it http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/...d%20Calculator

again as hargots stated the revup comes stock with a 34T Jackshaft, 32T Supercharger and 3.12 Serpentine pulleys.

the V-2 SQ SC-Trim is rated for 53,000 RPM

and I agree with booger I think the best route for us revup's is to go 30T or 28T SC pulley. The only question is will our gates belt be to big after the swap.

Hmmm . . . so using the Vortech impeller speed calc, looks like I am good up to 6800rpm. I'm running the 2.87 Serp. pulley with the 34 tooth jackshaft and 32 tooth SC on my revup. I gotta remember to set my shift light to that. I don't get into that range very often anyways but it's better to be safe than sorry. This is really good info fellas! Thanks!

I forgot that I used the non-revup pulley specs. You are still overdriving the pulley since revup redline is well past 6300. It was just a heads up for the people who didn't know.
