Some people don't like it cause it Vent-to-Atmosphere. It makes the "phssss" sound. Tht is the only reason why. Otherwise it hands down the best BOV out there. And you can make is recirculating.

you can't be serious.... there are plenty of BOV out there at least as good. heck, I know of tuners that badmouth the SSQV due to them leaking. But go ahead, believe it is hands down the best BOV on the market

A little of both From a purely performance/quality stand point I have never been recommended to buy a SSQV, and actually been told to avoid them. The sound alone was enough to keep me away though

for the most part it is basically personal preference. There are a lot of good manufacturers to choose from. The best sounding BOV I have heard was an APS BOV on my buddy's STI @ 30 psi. That said, the APS doesn't sound like anything too special on the Z.

Just as long as doing things "correctly" doesn't mean "my way is the only way".

Robert, I could also recomend a custom turbo that JWT can make and might even like to try on your car instead of the 530BB's and the 700BB's. It is like a in-between turbo with some parts of each, not sure on the specs off hand right now, but we have discussed it before. It would be like a 650BB turbo. If you would like, I can find out more about the possibilities of it and more information about it for you tomorrow when I am at JWT. Let me know.... I bet it would be worth looking into........

Thanks but I went ahead with the 700bb kit. Asked all my questions/concerns to my tuner and I'm sure I'll be happy with the GT2860RS turbos.

Like I said, just trying to present info so he can make informed decisions. I don't like the sound of the SSQV, but should that keep a person from buying it? Nope, not at all...

When I discuss the quality of the SSQV with a tuner and they advise me not to get it because in their experience they leak; should that keep a person from buying on? Possibly....

I am definitely responding to the fact that Mr. Robert_K threw out the comment that the SSQV is "hands down the best BOV out there" has absolutely no merit

I laughed out loud at that... maybe he can put his car on JWT's magic dyno and he can come back with a dyno chart of 700+ hp....

Why I ignore him. He's an APS nut hugger. Good to be loyal to a company, I know I am, but I don't force it on everyone. Hell I even recommended the APS to ABishop over the JWT cause I knew what he wanted. But that doesn't mean I, or the next person, should get it. The JWT kit is what I want and I feel will give me the best results for my needs. Plus after all the problems ABishop had with his APS I won't recommend it again.
