Greddy TT installed by SGP with pics and info
I'm going to take a shot in the dark as to why your motor let go: Mark advanced the timing way too much, had you running mid-10 afr's at WOT, and didn't hook your Knock Amp up to the Vpro.
Am I close?
BTW....I'm glad you are getting your car back, I'm sure you will be amazed at how much better the tune is, now that Sharif has tuned it.

Tune wasn't right, I was having to run race gas in the summer @ 5.5psi. I had an HKS EVC 6 that never worked and Mark @ SGP never sent off to get for the warranty. I got impatient and took my Z to a local shop in DFW to get a new boost controller installed, they didn't install it properly and less than an hour later KABOOM!!!
I will do just that, I would tell you some of the changes but I don't want to ruin the surprise, I was kind of hoping that Sharif would create one of those shop build threads but I know he is burning the candle at both ends these days.

Sorry to hear that brother! another FP's happy customer in DFW area
. Hope see you on street!!!
**it happens! LOL

I'll be around, holla!
Any problem with running AFR in the mid-10s??? That sounds like a nice comfort margin. I've always heard that an AFR of around 11 is good when at peak torque, but mid 10s is not rich enough to wash the cylinders, and seems like it will keep things nice and cool. (maybe not so fuel efficient, though).

Sounds like the timing may have been an issue.

There is nothing wrong with mid-10 afr's, just a little rich for my liking. I like my afr's at WOT to be in the low to mid 11's, with timing advance on the safe side.

Ok here are a few teaser pics:
This is my old block, Chris @ Forged said that the heads were actually in worse shape.

A few pics of the car and motor during the build.

Crappy Proxes 4 tires were a limiting factor as far as end dyno results, Sharif said that they kept slipping no matter how well the car was strapped down.

I'm waiting to get these bad boys mounted on monday or tuesday.

Thanks and you have chosen your shop wisely.
Yep 3" DP's, Mark@SGP traded me the downpipes and some 0.9bar wastegate spring for the crapped out EVC-6 back in November '09 before things started circling the drain. I guess I am one of the lucky ones as far as scamming goes.
Thanks bro, Sharif is the man! The car is insane!
