hopefully mine will be done by this weekend, b/c i am going through withdrawals without my car. i talked to sharif today and we decided to replace my stock clutch and flywheel, so hopefully the new clutch should be grabbier, and the flywheel should make me a few HP, and help the engine drop revs faster.

i know but also he called me today and said that he was inspecting the clutch and flywheel. the clutch would have been ok to drive with, but only ok, and the flywheel was looking like it could use a replacement. the upside however is that he is installing the clutch and flywheel for free, since the gearbox is already out of the car. so that saves me like $350ish. the clutch/flywheel combo is a Competition Clutch Stage 4 (oooooh "Stage 4", i know) setup. he told me he was pushing really hard to get my car wrapped up, so i'm expecting to have it back by friday or at the latest saturday. hopefully, this phone call with mark the end of the bloodletting at Forged, lol.

yeah he needs to get yours outta there. It's taking up my space lol. I was up there last thursday and ended up buying swaybars to be installed also. Will be putting the GF-210's on there also. . .geez I am gonna go broke. My Volk's just arrived this evening and they are hawt!! Can't wait to thow them on this weekend.

I am getting the same combo for clutch/flywheel as you james. I think our builds will be practically identical.

i remember when i got there, i was looking at all the other cars in the shop, and i was like "my car needs to be like that..." 30 minutes later i was broke, lol. like i've said time and again, as long as the car puts a smile on my face, then all the work and saving will be worth it.

on that note Sharif has assembled quite an army of cars.

Nice choice of TT kit. I have driven many turbo kits and the APS TT and ST are the few I havent had the pleasure of experiencing. TN, Greddy, JWT 700/850 (simialr to APS Xtreme)....all have their ups and downs. You guys (james and jumpingal) should have an APS vs Greddy stock block battle when you get your cars back.

jumpin800agl is getting an greddy setup very similar to mine, but i'm up for running my car against a stock block aps tt. the APS tt is a great kit, but for me Greddy seemed like the setup for me. i would definitely enjoy having a pair of water-cooled ball bearing snails though.

on a OT note, Alberto, I NEED a ride in your car at ZdayZ

i will refrain from rides in Bert's car. Then i will feel I have to spend more money that I won't have to get more boost that i don't need and my car will feel slow afterwards lol.

i'll go when the track at Commerce, GA opens in back up in the spring. I've never drag raced before, but i'd like to give it a go. I definitely want to take this car to do a track day ASAP. however street racing just kinda sketches me out.

yeah it is pretty bad. He is scared to launch it hard. First time at track with it we watched another '07 ahead of him break the rear end on the launch lol, kinda put fear in him, and he always seems to miss 2nd gear.

I think I could come off idle, shift "easy" and still run well into the 12's but...

What did he trap?

honestly I do not remember. . . sadly he ran the same times after the mods as he did stock. 13.3 was his best, he was up around 13.6 average though lol. I just need more practice on the strip. I ran a 14.1 after 4 passes total.
