i have the evoTT and everyone tells me my car sounds like a train as i pull past them. To me its not loud at all and I only drive with the top down. As far as the APS when I drive Julian's car you can tell the diff def loud but if you have the extreme kit you need to do the APS.

Whats your guys's opinions on the fast intentions 3" dominator exhaust...sounds pretty stillen like - def. more quiet than the aps 3in... not sure if it'll mate up to the big aps test pipes though.

i made just as much power with the borla dual exhaust, adding the dual 3" did nothing at all but make my car way way louder. but, i do like it!

I love my APS 3". Either I'm deaf or the exhaust is a bit quieter on a G35 because I can hold conversations and talk on the phone just fine as long as my rpm's aren't too low. It does get pretty loud/droney in the cabin below 2600rpm.

Dunno, never heard it in person..The OP was up in the air between APS and Greddy, of the two I personally prefer the APS on my car.

The G35 will be much quieter than the Z. You don't have the hatch for the exhaust note to resonate off of and you have much more sound dampening.

Thats me, i love the sound of it at idle and even at the run with many FI Z's my cars sound got alot of attention from other owners. the only noise issue you will really have with the APS 3" s when you are on the highway at around 80 mph, it has a drone that will get on your nerves after a few hours. personally i would get it again.

I still dont know if I should go with the APS 3" or if the Greddy Evo TT will suffice. I didnt know if the smaller piping on the evo tt would cause a backpressure problem or not.

any input would be appreciated

thanks
Just got my APS 3" used to have the old Evo GReddy exhaust. This APS is sort of loud especially when you first get it installed it almost rattles your brain as you gas on it. As it breaks in the mufflers it is getting quieter as I put more miles on it but still pretty loud. The GReddy is the best fitting, I notice the APS rubs on the driver side. Performance wise the APS 3" the turbos spool up a little faster. One other thing is the APS clamps that hold the mufflers are too large and it's taking 1 month so far and no response. APS has very poor support so you might want to keep that in mind. GReddy is much quieter exhaust but smaller diameter. I'd lean towards GReddy since it fits perfectly weather a G or Z, if you do have problems they're located in Irvine CA. Sounds good not too loud and raspy. I'm just frustrated w/ aps because this wasn't a cheap exhaust and their support sucks. One other thing if you plan on upgrading your sway bars or already have check how the exhaust routes because you may run into a problem /w the larger 3" exhaust.

That's exactly what I'm talkin about, I should of kept the old GReddy. It does break in a little bit but I haven't drove a few hrs w/ this APS. How long has your friend had the APS? Just wondering if it's still loud after the packing in the muffler breaks in a little?

Wondering if your APS gets quieter as you put more miles on it? I have about 100miles on my APS 3" and it's a tiny bit quieter where it doesn't rattle your brain.

Does anyone know if the 350evo sways will clear the aps 3"? If not I may have to go w/ the Hotchkis. How do you like the Hotchkis sways and what setting are you running?
