Default APS Extreme + Greddy Evo TT

Just received my APS Extreme but my car is currently exhaust-less.

I still dont know if I should go with the APS 3" or if the Greddy Evo TT will suffice. I didnt know if the smaller piping on the evo tt would cause a backpressure problem or not.

any input would be appreciated

thanks

yes i agree with above posted...the aps is going to be LOUD and sounds AWESOME...but the TT looks way cooler...in terms of air flow they are both pretty much the best out there IMO

i went with the evoTT, it think it sounds awesome personally, and it with the 50mm bottle neck removed (simple modification) it flows even better.

The aps has a very unique sound at idle and on highend it sounds like a exotic somewhere between a muscle car and a na 350z with exhaust. But the tips on Greddy Evo TT look soooooo cool. As for the flow as stated above if you remove the bottle neck they will flow very much the same.

evo tt is incredibly quiet, which I like. you can't go wrong with either. it'll release all the backpressure you can dish out, up front.

Just take it to a muffler shop and they use a pipe spreader. I did mine and it took all of 5 minutes. Just bring a 3" inside diameter flange with you to make sure they got the spread right. I prefer my evo tt but APS 3" is good but very loud.

Congrats on the evoTT Best Look with nice sound and sounds much much quiter, loud exhaust isn`t good at where the cops hang

just wanted to ask you please what do they modify ? the flange at the beginning of the exhaust right ? what is the size of it now ?? is it 2.75 all the way or is it 2.5 instead of the 1.968 ?

Thank You

The APS is designed specifically to work with the extreme 3.5" down pipes, this one is a no brainer IMO.

You cut off the existing flange at the beginning of the exhaust and then stretch it to 3" inside diameter. Then weld a new 3" flange on it and your all set. IIRC the inside diameter of the evo tt where it bottlenecks is 2.75.

Not really.... I don't think people realize how loud the APS exhaust is. It is so loud, I think it is worth considering other exhausts despite mating up so perfectly to the down pipes.

A friend of mine has the APS 3" and when he drives on the highway he says its so loud and the droning kills your ears. I haven't had that problem with my evo tt

No doubt... the APS 3" is so loud I can't see how those that run it enjoy their cars??? You can't carry a conversation with a passenger, can't hear your radio, can't hear a cell phone, and the droning is beyond annoying.

That said, I personally don't think the greddy evoTT flows any better than the APS 2.5"... at that point, you have at least 2 good exhausts to choose from that keep the exhaust noise level under control

True, but quiet and 600hp 350Z's should not be a consideration.Thats like the words fast and cheap in the same sentence. I love my APS and think its just loud enough. You should hear it screaming at 7800rpms with those crower cams.

you can make 600 with the 2.5" and still enjoy the car.

I had planned on making the move to the 3" back in the day. After a test drive in car with it I will never sacrifice the enjoyment of the car for maybe 15-20 hp. The 2.5" didn't hold me back from the power I wanted to make with my setup and I don't have to have stock in ear plugs when I take the car out for a spin

edit: screaming at 7800rpms is very much an understatment... APS was right, that exhaust is not for the faint of heart
