Default supporting mods-turbonetics st

I'll be acquiring a turbonetics st and have a few N/A mods that i'm curious if they are going mess it up or not. I'm planning on installing it as is, including the reflash from turbonetics. My main concern is the 5/16" spacer and MRev2, I'm not too worried about the crawford headers, i know the kit works with them, just a little work has to be done. Should it just be fine to leave the Mrev2 and take out the spacer, or put it back to stock?

the spacer and the Mrev2 will be fine, you definitely need to get a tune though. The reflash is just the ticket for a blown motor

I've read in a few places where all they had was the turbonetics reflash, and were going "50,000" miles strong, but A greddy emanage ultimate or utec will be coming in the future. If a good tune is absolutely necassary, I'll most likely just get the emanage.

if you're gonna go emanage, get the ultimate. the emanage blue is not to be trusted

+1 on UTEC. Hell, I even went as far as a F-Con VPro on stock block.

Ticket for a blown motor? Amazing I've seen blown motors on a lot of UTEC tuned cars as well. It's all in how you verify the reflashed tune, and if the kit was properly installed.

Actually the stock ECU is able to adapt within certain measures for minor changes in flow provided by these modifications. I ran for 2+ years at 9psi, a plenum spacer, and exhaust with no issues and 11.5:1 AFR all the way to redline. My motor failure wasn't related to the reflash in any way.

Avoid the headers and go with stock manifolds if possible. You will have to modify your downpipe and will still deal with exhaust leaks and vibration/rubbing as a biproduct.

Still, a custom tune is always better, so if you can afford it just grab a UTEC.

Nope, it's a reflashed ECU. If you want to do a piggyback EMS and fuel system I'd suggest getting the tuner kit.

warranty?? what do you think is being warrantied? they sure as heck aren't giving you a warranty on your motor. They are giving you a warranty on the parts. So when the welds crack or what not, they will send you replacements

To the OP, do not attempt the install with the crawford headers. You will get nothing out of it and will have a huge problem getting the piping to fit past them

I'll catch all sorts of grief for this, but it seems a lot of stuff breaks on the TN kits. TN seems good about replacing it, but still a headache.

You definitely want a custom load based tune with capable EMS over the crappy reflash. Also, some sort of boost control would be recommended

do it right the first time and just get the Utec. I've got nothing but good things to say about my set up with it but a good tuner always helps too

To the OP, If your exhaust is 3" I'd keep it, but if its smaller I'd sell it along with all your other bolt-ons.

Use that money toward a utec, 650 injectors and an open dump. Your kit will have so much more potential.

The only downside is your sig might shrink!

Obviously your opinion isn't absolutely biased....

I've seen no higher % of "broken" parts than I have on the APS ST kit. (seeing as there are no more than 10 APS ST owners around)
