supporting mods-turbonetics st
I'll be acquiring a turbonetics st and have a few N/A mods that i'm curious if they are going mess it up or not. I'm planning on installing it as is, including the reflash from turbonetics. My main concern is the 5/16" spacer and MRev2, I'm not too worried about the crawford headers, i know the kit works with them, just a little work has to be done. Should it just be fine to leave the Mrev2 and take out the spacer, or put it back to stock?
I've read in a few places where all they had was the turbonetics reflash, and were going "50,000" miles strong, but A greddy emanage ultimate or utec will be coming in the future. If a good tune is absolutely necassary, I'll most likely just get the emanage.

Actually the stock ECU is able to adapt within certain measures for minor changes in flow provided by these modifications. I ran for 2+ years at 9psi, a plenum spacer, and exhaust with no issues and 11.5:1 AFR all the way to redline. My motor failure wasn't related to the reflash in any way.
Avoid the headers and go with stock manifolds if possible. You will have to modify your downpipe and will still deal with exhaust leaks and vibration/rubbing as a biproduct.
Still, a custom tune is always better, so if you can afford it just grab a UTEC.

To the OP, do not attempt the install with the crawford headers. You will get nothing out of it and will have a huge problem getting the piping to fit past them
thats what i want warrantied iam gonna be in a different country i dont need something thats gonna give me a headace while iam over there for 2 years at worst case i buy a new motor and put that tn kit back on the new one if i blow mine not worried about the motor just want to make sure the kit will hold up after all a used motor is cheaper than a brand new turbo kit

You definitely want a custom load based tune with capable EMS over the crappy reflash. Also, some sort of boost control would be recommended
wow ur in tq thats crazy about 2years ago i was over that way i was at cop in ramadi since then i realize i hate having to work on people i know so i got a hospital gig now
To the OP, If your exhaust is 3" I'd keep it, but if its smaller I'd sell it along with all your other bolt-ons.
Use that money toward a utec, 650 injectors and an open dump. Your kit will have so much more potential.
The only downside is your sig might shrink!

I've seen no higher % of "broken" parts than I have on the APS ST kit. (seeing as there are no more than 10 APS ST owners around)
