Default Why do you mod?

Just curious, why do you mod?
In FI forum because I think more money has been spent on mods in this subforum than any other.

There is no rush like pulling to speed limiter in a matter of seconds. Having open roads ahead and 500+whp on tap is a great feeling, nothing like it for me personally. After going WOT or racing my car my adrenaline pumps so much my hands shake like a crack ***** going through withdrawl....

it's kinda the same reasoning behind why did you buy a sports car?
I mod to make the car more fun to drive and an even more extreme sports car than what it already is

for me, the handling, accelleration, braking, looks, feeling of being inside a more purposeful/performance car, the reactive response, and precision of control is what does it for me

and +1 to what Alberto said

I could've spent my modding money on getting a "better" car in the first place and it'd be a financially "better" move (though only if I were planning on selling it), but I like the Z's shape a lot for some reason - even as much as some of the more expensive exotic cars. As much as I hate admitting it, for some reason that ends up being a big deal to me when talking about a sports car because whether I was rich or not, there's actually very few sports cars that I'd actually go out and buy that I think look perfect or near perfect IMO. So the Z was for me because I could afford it

It makes me sick to see money in my bank account Sp I mod my car to get rid of all my extra cash. Oh and the thing about shaking like a crack ***** on withdrawal.

+1 to everything, everyone stated. Accept the 500+whp part. I don't have that yet.

Agreed... about roughly $5,000,000.00 or so invested in my marriage..I've been married for 23 years.
I only have about 25k in mods. Mods are definitely the way to go.

I do have a great wife and 2 wonderful daughters so its all worth it.

Jay... you're still faster than me on a Po Boy budget. Hopefully I'll finally get ahead of you on the 13th.
