So i called Stillen today cause i'm thinking of upgrading my stage one SC to the stage two. They quoted me $1500. But if you subtract the difference between the stage one and two on their website it's only $1300 difference. I told the guy that and he said it's cause it's loose parts not in a kit all at once. But they put all their kits together for you at time of order. So i don't understand why putting all the intercooller pieces in a box, without a blower should cost me $200 more?? Am i being irrational?

LMFAO Doug, goddamn that was funny.
OP-this is only to ship the parts? It doesnt surprise me Stillen wants to pull a fast one on you. MY only advice is go to another Stillen dealer and try to pay the "fair" price....

That's a great idea!!! Yeah just the parts shipped. I'll try someone else tomorrow. I'm in no rush so i'll shop around. Thanks for finally answering my original question!!
IMO if your going to upgrade at all may as well go stage 4. Especially if its not your DD! Ive driven a Stage 4 G35 and it was tons of fun to drive. Still very safe power levels should last you a while.

I'll do my research a little more. I'm also kinda enjoying going in steps. That way as i get bored and need more HP i can add a little at a time. Instead of blowing my load all at once and being maxed out.

Almost everything has an upgrade later penalty.
It is common to find things cheaper when you buy the kit all at once as opposed to upgrading later. Part of it is the vendor trying to make more money up front by getting people to buy the more expensive kit in the first place.
I wont say its right, but its what companies do, be it car parts, computer parts or whatever.
