you were suppose to post it in the intake exhaust forums maybe

since it was about an exhaust not your FI setup...
otherwise thats part of the new rule...1 thread per car unless you change like turbokits or do somethign completly different

I don't really mind scrolling down real quick in the FI forum, but having 8-10 stickies is a bit much it seems - looks cluttered or busy
some stickies maybe... but others like the VRT sticky need to be right in the parent directory fro FI.. IMO

something similar to the defunt(/sp) "lastest 20 posts" but in which users can choose to select which forum.... so one can select FI section(including the new subforums) or INtake/exhaust forum ....or OT

just an idea

Thats probably possible, but because that would be a software mod or new plugin It would have to wait a bit till the software is upgraded and a plugin is found.

I did do something different. That thread is about installing a water cooled turbo on the car, not necessarily the build.

Post Guideline no. 1 explains it all

1. Only one thread per car. I.E. if your motor blows, and it goes to a different shop you still use that thread. Please contact a moderator if you would like your thread title changed.

thanks for reading

p.s. you werent the only thread kyle and I merged

Wow! I missed the change.

I usually dont pay much attention, and scoll down to the main Forum page.
I will have to agree, that the sub forum will probably not get as much attention. I am on here everyday and missed the change.

I dislike the subforums. All of the vendors names in the titles looks more like an advertising forum than what this forum is all about--->THE PEOPLE'S rides. If they then choose to praise the shop in the post that is cool. Also my original thread on my rebuild has over 20,000 views and XX pages long. The one thread per car rule is not smart. If I do another round of upgrades and want to start a new thread I cant?

on the positive end of it.. it does show the full progress of your car.. anyone wants to knwo what your car has been through they can read it all there.. no need to search every post under your name..

you would just need to edit the post title and the first post

I guess there are good points to both sides. I'll go with the flow.

i got an idea..

maybe FI should be a Sub Forum with no posting

so under Forced Induction you have

General Information
Shop Builds
FI FAQ
Production Information

that way anyone who clicks on Forced Induction has no choice but to choose one of the 4 .. so you won't get lost in the general area and not click the Shop Builds Forum

thats perfect, so no threads under FI just 4 subforums so it will get hit equally.

Or... How about a compromise???

Bring the subsections closer to the general threads (right above them like the stickies used to be) and put all the stickies in FAQ? That way, somebody would have to be a totally blind moron to miss the subsections. Just a thought.

you can't move stuff around that easily.. it requires moving stuff around in the templates.. its a P.I.T.A.

OK. Just a thought I had to meet folks halfway on their concerns. I'm not a computer wiz and not too familiar with how vBulletin software works. Thanks for the FYI doug.
