Hereare a few questions:

1) How does the PowerLab kit bolt up to the exhaust? At the beginning of the OEM mid-pipe?

2) Does the kit retain the front bumper brace?

3) Can one, obtain an install manual before purchase?

Thanx

Hello,

Answers:

1. It mates to the the oem/factory rear section. Therefore, you will need a rear section exhaust. I.E. -- JiC, Apexi WS2, etc.
2. Yes, but it requires that a portion of it be cut. Instructions to that end are included.
3. Yes, once the kits are officially released -- PowerLab has informed us that they're ready to pull the trigger by the end of this month.

Hope this helps.

D,

Has Powerlab released any photos of the kit from the rear of the engine? To show the DP, and the front section of what would be part of the exhaust?

Wonderful. So does the kit replace the Y pipe or does it bolt up to the Y pipe? you state rear section exhaust so I'm guessing it replaces the Y pipe.

well I doubt they split the exhaust piping coming from the turbo into dual....I think its 3 inch straight piping from the turbo back to maybe the midpipe or rear section.

either way I have a JIC Y pipe, I agree, but he said rear section exhaust and most Z rear section exhaust bolt up to the Y pipe.

My guess would be no, I never thought it went past the Y, just trying to clear that up.

Maybe I can help with a verbal description. Yes, this kit would "eliminate" the Y-Pipe. So like Darren said, a Y-Pipe back exhaust would be recommended.

If you look at the picture above, you'll notice the larger pipe all the way to the right next to the gaskets. That pipe will come of the DP. If you notice towards the top of the pipe there is a smaller piece coming off it (it's a few inches long with a flange), that will bolt up to the long thinner pipe just to the left of it with the flex piece at the bottom end. That is the dump tube for the Tial wastegate. So if you can imagine like a "V" off the back of the engine. Hopefully that can give you a better visualization until Powerlab releases more photos.

if you are looking to have a true dual exaust you would probably have it hack it to make a rever "Y" pipe....

I think this kit whit the greddy Ti, JIC st or Ti, nismo ,RsR... amuse.........it would look bad as... plenty of options

This kit is already on the green widebody G. I believe the only modification needed is to one of the I/C pipes. The rest of the kit should bolt right in place.

Hellos,

The G35 specific kits are next on PowerLab's agenda. They're looking at sometime in April (I believe) for release. Technically, however, the 350z kits could be acquired and the I/C piping modified, as SlideFox stated.

It would not cost all that much extra to modify the ic piping. MRC in NJ could do that for you I am sure for a reasonable rate.

^ +1

I'm sure if you called MRC or VTR, it would be a minimal charge to modify the I/C piping. I think it's only 1 pipe that has to be modified?!?! I'm sure it will be worth it!!!

I just dropped my front bumper (JP body kit) off at the body shop, they need to know the dimensions of the intercooler so they can make sure the front bumper cover fits before they paint it. I also need to know if there's any trimming involved in order to fit the piping.

Thanks.

if you can fit the crash bar, then you can fit the intercooler
