Why do I see a lot of guys with the TN kit topping out around 350whp? Is the main reason the injectors? I've done a lot of looking around but haven't been able to come up with a solid response. I know the tune has a lot to do with it, but what is the most anyone has seen from a stock block/stock exhaust TN kit, assuming tuned with an emanage ultimate or utec. And what have people been hitting with just upping to 600cc injectors?

If you're seeing people making less power with the default kit, they're either running a bit rich due to variances in the car or install, or don't have supporting mods to make more power. The reflash can adjust fuel based on MAF signal but not based on fuel pressure.
There are PLENTY on this board making 400+whp on the kit with a simple tune, or fuel system upgrade (injectors, RFS) an tune.
There was a car recently tuned at GTM with Turbonetics kit and built motor that made 520+whp. The kit can deliver with the right supporting mods.

in case you don't have Adobe thats 390 WHP at 9 PSI on a VERY rich 10.5:1 run..

ok, I know you said you hit 8psi in the mid 3000 or even lower on certain situation.

I didn't mean to bash the TN kit, I just purchased one. I just want to make sure that I hit 390-400whp. I don't have an exhaust yet but I've heard that its still possible.
When I said topping out, I meant the basic kit with no other mods. I see a few guys with signatures that say TN with a utec and they only hit 360, theres one for sale in the marketplace that said 359 I think, and I was reading part of Taurran's huge write up about his kit and one member has 360 in his signature. I realize that the tune is critical, but if someone only hits 360 at 9psi, why wouldn't they go to a different tuner and see if they can get more?
Also, where is the best place to mount my A/F gauge, everyone says as close to the engine as possible, so I would assume on the up-pipe, but there are alot of guys that put it on the downpipe. Whats up with that?

Why would you mount your gauge close to your Engine? And who said you mount that close to your engine? Is that a typo?

Yeah, its a typo, I meant the sensor for the wideband gauge, where I would weld the bing to the pipe, I know it goes on the top side of the pipe no matter where I mount it, but which pipe? I have AEM eugo
I've got one of those "weird" TN Z's that hit 400+whp at stock boost tuned by Performance Factory...FWIW I have 650cc injectors and UTEC. Only change I made to the kit was a Tial 38mm wastegate, but that had no bearing on the number I hit...
