you scale your injectors using the 0% fuel column. old versions of the software had you type in the injector size. they dont use that anymore

Really? I have the latest manual downloaded and it still shows using injector scaling for Open Loop Fueling, along with making adjustments in the 0% column.

"The 0% column is used for tuning fuel whenever the car is below the Open Loop MAP Threshold parameter value. Fuel tuning in this column is done “piggyback style” using injector scaling and MAF voltage offset. Tuning of the 0% column is done mainly by using the Injector Flow parameter value in the Open Loop Fuelling parameters menu."

better yet, jonnyC do you own a UTEC? If not, please dont add confusion to all these threads!

the manual is just saying you "scale" using the the 0% column in the fueling menu, which is EXACTLY what i said above

You are scaling your injectors for idle. you can never go past the 0% load on idle on MAP based setup bc there is no boost!!

if the concept of reducing fuel (ie bigger injectors flow more fuel so inputting negative values in the 0% load column reduces that flow, <scales>) is too difficult to understand-- please do not try to work on this yourself.

Also, if you are using a buddies map, make sure you are also using his parameter file.

I already told you why the injector size option doesnt work

As a matter of fact I don't - it's coming this week. However, I was merely stating what the manual says. It's not me adding the confusion, it's the manual. If this contradicts the functionality of the latest UTEC version, then we should tell TurboXS to update their manual. Personally, I would trust a product's manual more than a random person on the forums.

I'm going to try calling TurboXS tomorrow to tell them that changes need to be made to their manual.

Johnnyc your wrong. The only way to scale the injectors with a utec is in the 0% colum. Turbo xs was supposed to fix the problem but didn't. They were to lazy to change the manual. Before you can say anything I own a utec and have been boosted for over 30k. That said fishclub your stock ecu should be able to trim your fuel with 440cc injectors enough for you to get to a tuner.

Guys - all I ever said was that "the manual states...". So how can I be "wrong"? I'm glad you two were able to clear it up for us though so that we know the injector sizes in SD mode are pointless (if they can even be entered). I'll be emailing TurboXS today.
