Yeah, the pace this community moves at is crazy. Having over 500whp used to qualify you for big dog status, but now it seems like there are 550whp Z's and G's coming out practically every week.

 

Nexx I thought you were happy with your Vortech setup. I thought about going to Forged for the first part of my build and will probably end up there for the second part. I went to SGP instead, I would have just went to Jo-tech because its closest, they seem very knowledgeable and everyone was pretty cool there but Kenny wants to much $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Good luck with yoour build.

FCon was moved under the dash, so it was not hanging out under the dash board where passengers could kick it, but I guess no one is crazy enough to ride with Luie anyway... HAHA

 

The point of diminishing returns has already been met. It's nice to have plenty of cars to run with. Do I care if I get smoked by a cheaper build running a 200 shot? Not really - it'd be fun as hell to see.

And all this secret weapon stuff is funny. There's only so much that can be done to run more power. Of course, there's more to winning a race than raw power and I've got some stuff up my sleeve (aka "a secret weapon") that I haven't leaked to anyone, including Sharif, ha ha . Well, not yet anyway. I'm sure he's holding his breath in suspense now - lol.

But all you "big dogs" (aka smack talkers) are gonna have to show up for the airport run and work your way to the top just like everyone else - lol. The only way to win is to play - ha!

 

rcdash-not to sound conceded but I have nothing to prove anymore-this goes to all, not just you. Especially after recent "findings" with my car which will all be posted in due time, things from my prospective have really changed. Im settling a friendly score with 2 guys when the time comes, thats it. I could care less about the other guys with no or crappy track times who produce a dyno sheet and think/assume they can hang. There is a difference between smack talking and showing up to a fight with a dyno sheet, and smack talk knowing you run .5+ faster than comparable setups with 100whp less!

 

I agree with the last part. It seems like we have more guys on this forum that think if they pour enough money into their cars, they'll be the "top dawg" or whatever. Someone used the term "credit card racer" the other day, and I think that pretty much describes a lot of people's mentality here. Thats definitely not a slight against rcdash, thats just how I feel the general mentality of the FI is a lot of time.

With that said, I'm waiting for this thread to turn into a giant pissing match. People get so wound up with this smack talk crap its unbelievable. If you're pouring $40000+ (or whatever it is you're spending) into your car to have bragging rights on a forum, think you need to revaluate your priorities, because eventually you're going to be in for some serious disappointment. Personally, I don't give a flying **** if I'm the slowest guy in the entire FI forum, because I enjoy my car every time I start it up. A little rivalry is fine, but I get the feeling sometimes people just mod here because they want to able to say they have 10000whp (DD uncorrected of course), regardless of if they can drive or not.

 

My car is just about where I want it with this set up. I guess I find out this weekend. I will be at FP with Joe for the next two days to finish up some final things on my car, and thats it. From then on it's all track time and suspension adjustments.

Joe I was going to race you (this weekend) and just take you out of the equation but I'll let you "Fantasize" for a month or two, until the the day when all three of us get together.

As far as cars making power??? I think the tuners are getting more comfortable in their builds/tunning capabilities.

But who knows I may be wrong. I guess we'll find out when /\ the "findings" come out.

Nothing to do with being conceded or proving anything imo. It's just about getting away for a weekend and having some fun... And I'll run anyone, as many times as they want, till I get bored. Maybe you guys do this all the time, but I rarely get an opportunity to go to the track with people I know (well, e-know!).

If you guys don't want to participate, that's fine - there will be plenty of fast cars and good company, I'm sure. The more the merrier, so hope you, Luie, and Joe make it.

EDIT: The wheels look pretty good on diamond graphite. Thanks. I will have pics of the whole setup, sometime soon !!! (Well maybe in May - ha ha)
