Getting the timing on something like an anti-lag down will take some time and effort, in the end a good driver can do it easily with no additional stress on the turbos. Joe bringing this thing into the country is great, but lets not let people think they need these extras (anti-lag) to shift fast. Where it will shine is in the fact that you NEVER miss a gear, and could be consistent easier! I cant wait to make a video with Joe, I think Im more pumped than he is....
I may be mistaken, but my understanding of anti-lag is basically the engine dumps a bunch of extra fuel into the cylinders. All the unburned fuel then flows into the turbo where it basically explodes and keeps the turbo spinning fast.
I tend to agree with you about how it might be a little overkill for what is going to amount to minimal gains, but we shall see.

Well not to sound like a jerk, but thats the difference between Joe, Berto, and myself. We are always trying new thing for better or for worse.

I am going to try and make one tonight... But it will have to be on low boost so I can have the passenger keep the camera steady! All I have is a digital camera that will record video. Sorry, no max power shifting until you see it in person!

If you do it around 13psi it would be the same boost as me in that vid. Look forward to it, and dont make excuses ahead of time LOL!

You don't sound like a jerk at all; some one has to push the limits

It is hard enough to keep the car going straight at 20psi on the street... boost controller off you get 10psi and like it! lol

Jose whats up my friend?

Yes you have to use the clutch at all time just like a regular tranny. This just puts the pattern in two directions back for up shift and away for down shift. You would love this.

This setup still uses the clutch like normal... You could use flat shifting or lift the throttle and rip the next gear for upshifting, but your syncros would not last long doing that, however it can be done, I have tried it just to see what would happen.

Next project is dog engagement gearing, then no more clutch! Maybe I will start that this coming winter, but for now I will enjoy playing real life video games with the shifter. HAHA

Joe does all his own work, so that saves him a lot of $$$$$$! Wish I had the wrenching skills he does.
