I can follow your line of reasoning, but really, you are being pretty naive if you think Turbonetics is financially liable for the fact that you are going to have extra peripheral costs. They have nothing to do with the fact that you assumed an install would take a certain amount of time, and you were wrong in your assumption. Every project always hits snags, every install always takes longer and costs more. It comes with the territory.

If they sent you the wrong parts (which at this point I think is unlikely), I think you'd be justified in asking them to overnight ship the correct ones to minimize your extra costs. But saying with a straight face that you want them to pay for your garage rental fees? You're just making yourself look silly at that point.

Based on your pictures, and Ed's post about the updated wastegate discharge pipe, if I were a betting man I would say your problem is user error.

Normal install time for a qualified shop is about 8 hours but for someone who has never installed this kit it may well take twice as long.

on page 12 - step 29 it explains how those pipe ( 21200 & 21427 ) you don't have actually comes together. Now exclude those steps and that is exactly where the 21824 bolts in. Picture that pipe installed as in FIGURE 36,37 and you should be good to go.

Ok, I called a while ago, before I saw all of the new posts. I was emailed the new instructions immediately. They clarified everything, but without them, and just going off the instructions included, I never would have seen how it would go together. If you look in the new directions, it comes with a block off plate for the up-pipe, mine doesn't even have a hole for that to go in, so mine was specifically made for the new modification. This is why I thought I had the wrong pipe, there was no flange where the picture illustrated. I also never would have guessed that the pipe would run underneath the sway bar. Thats why I never tried that angle.

TN handled my issue quickly, and if I had seen this before I'm sure there would have been no problems with any of the TN parts. It was just frustrating to spend so much time and then run into problems due to misleading directions. I also agree, if you were to take it to a shop thats done it before, they could do it no problem. Doing something like this for the first time from black and white instructions is not easy. So its back to work for me, just have to connect the rest of the exhaust, put the turbo in, piping to the intercooler, and hook up the oil lines.

I'm a call or a PM away most guys in the FI forums know who I am and can lead you to me. I frequent this forum just to catch everything that our phones can't. Once you get the install done it all makes sense in a way. Now your next step which is what I did do not tighten everything down yet until everything is lined up or you will run into clearance issues. Once all the pipes are lined up then you can begin to tighten the pipes down.

Will do, everything is just kind of hanging except for where the pipes bolt to the headers, not too much wiggle room with those triangle flanges anyways right? All in all, I'm still glad that I'm doing the install myself, but i'm not done yet so that may change haha.
