Has a race format been established yet or is it going to be a "call out" type of format. If you lose you're out?

 

May is pretty full for me... the date is gonna be the main factor, but I am definitely interested.

 

^ no not yet... most likely will be call outs first, then two lines and just go. we will defenitely find out who runs the best.

Oh man, this sounds so sick. Have dreamed about racing on a runway. SOMEONE better make a video of this day an all the runs. I'm gonna Google the distance from my area to there. Are any cars allowed or just Z's? See if I can convince my best friend to road trip out there with his 1000whp Supra.

 

technically yes.. but they still paid as everyone elsee so they will still run in between runs most likely in a different bracket. So basically winners will move on race each other, losers will race other losers.

 

I would def like to spectate, is there handicap'd parking?

 

Might be worthwhile to define the format after we know how long we've got the airstrip for... I can see rank-ordering by timeslip (slowest first) as a way to prevent the fastest from racing everybody in the field. But if there's plenty of time, then maybe it doesn't matter and maybe the fastest there would prefer to run more people (= more fun ).

Dil, I recall some mention that the owner of the airstrip insisted on liability insurance - is he happy with the policy as stated? I was wondering if the "spectator only" liability coverage would suffice for him... Hopefully all is good and I'm just being paranoid, but you don't want him coming after you cause someone's car crashed into his hanger. That policy uses the terms "participants" and "spectators". It says all participants must sign appropriate waivers, but then only spectators are covered. My sense is that a spectator is a type of participant. If all participants are covered, then we are in good shape. I'm no insurance expert though...

 

is there possible parking for more spectators anywhere? I have a couple other cars that would love to come if I go as we're all staying together in a cabin.

 

Dil.....let me know when you want the money. BTW..why not pay the $700 for the entire day? I though that we wanted the entire day so that we did not have to rush ??
