SES code p0443
i just had my vortech surpercharger installed this week and I'm am throwing a SES code, p0443. I think it is for the Evap system. Has anybody dealt with this code and know how to fix it?
you have a evap leak check your gas cap. What kind of exhaust do you have? Some have to move the Carbon canister under the muffler of the car and sometimes hoses get cracked and or broken. It usually is something small easy to fix just takes a long time to find it.
have you tried clearing the code? does it come right back? Have you checked all the evap lines under the hood. they would easy to forget to hook back up if you had your plenum off.
double check to make sure that the evap service port is tight, and all harnesses are connected.

I just got this code yesterday. I had AutoZone pull the code for me today. I haven't had any noticeable problems at all but I will keep posting. It seems to be either:
-EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve [Probable cause]
-Blocked purge hoses
-Faulty canister vent control valve
-Plugged EVAP canister
-Faulty EVAP canister purge volume control
-Solenoid valve
Code P0443

After my install I had this. Mine was the oring that seals the fuel basket assembly at the tank. If you have the FMU that comes with the Vortech that is all done outside the tank. What is happening is when started the evap canister is placed under vacuume from the engine intake manifold, if there's a leak it can't get the vacuume low enough and then throws the code. If my tank was full and I parked on a slope could see fuel leaking and when ever getting in the car after parking I could smell it. Hope this helps.

The code could be a lot of things. The FSM details troubleshooting. I had it after my spare tire well got flooded with water because I had drilled some holes in it to move the canister but didn't seal them. Fried the sensor on the canister. Now the code is gone after I dried everything and drained the water out of the canister.
