As far as i've seen. Thats a good deal though. You do have to install it yourself which is okay if you know what your doing.

This is the kit, you have it professionally installed at a transmission shop, or if you know what you're doing. I just wanted to have it done locally versus dropping the valve body, sending it off to a vendor and then they send it back. Its your choice but its the same kit they use. They just sell the kit as an option to have it done locally. call your local transmission shops to see if they install it (shift kit) or they may even have it in stock (this is a new kit from Transgo). I'm in Honolulu Hawaii...we don't have anything in stock...never.

I am assuming then that you have this kit on your car.

Any reviews? Thoughts?

Thanks.

A DIY for installing the kit would be very cool.

Sorry to bring this thread back from years ago but I'm just wondering about how much should it cost to be installed just so I know I'm not getting ripped by a local transmission shop?

read up on it there is a great DIY on here for it and it works great..
But you can also go with the up rev tuning and pick up a few more HP and better drive ability as well as do just what the kit can do with out pulling the pan and the expense of the fluid.....

You have a great shop in Hawaii that has Up Rev ask for Sean.

sorry for some reason I thought you were from Hawaii

But the kit works great and not that hard to install just take your time

Good luck .. Also summit racing has it as well as the cooling rads as well.

summit racing.
just search "transgo performance shift kit re5r05a" and you should get more results.
I did have a hard time finding my alto clutches, I can't remember what site i got them on, but they were about $230 shipped. If you really want pm me and i'll track down the source.

i know where to purchase them. i'm just wondering what a good price for the install is. some transmission places are askiing about $600 for the job which can't seem right. maybe so though, i have no idea. that's what im asking.

You could do it yourself if you have the time. It seems complicated(and it will be if you don't follow the instructions exactly as they are written) but anybody that is mechanically inclined can do this job and save a little cash.

If I can find the DIY for you I will post it up.
