Good to hear...and not surprising. We have taken those FP S1 Shortblocks from the dyno, straight to the Time Attack and won...back to back.

I went with ceramic/moly coated Wiseco pistions, Eagle rods, and ARP main studs:

imo, you can't go wrong with Wiseco or Arias pistons (I'm sure CP are also probably good, I just never researched them), and for the VQ35 motors, Eagle, Pauter and Carillo rods are all very good. It all depends on how much money you want to spend.

Also, you can't go wrong with anything from Forged Performance. Sharif kicks *ss.

thanks sharif...but i wanted something brolic. Lets say my set up can make 750 whp i want internals that can hold much more than my power limit, incase i want to upgrade . That's why i'm leaning towards carillo...those rods are proven. I've heard about gtm, their line up looks solid..but don't know much

Brolic?

To have safe upside beyond 800whp, I would use Pauter rods. They will take anything you can dish out.

It's just very rare that customers will take these cars beyond 700-800whp or so. The higher up in power you go (and the larger the turbo), you are trading a ton of midrange, for a ton of top end. This makes for a car, that isn't very fun to drive daily on the street at all. For top end straight line drag racing, it's going to be awesome though.

A long time ago I remember reading about some JE failures, but I think the problem is fixed. I have also read about failures with the Aries non-ED piston.
