I'd only sell the car if it was all cash in my pocket, and the buyer did all the legwork. I have a love/hate relationship with the car (as everyone else here), and have been dreaming of driving around something stock, good looking, nice, and unmodified for a while. I seriously enjoy the power, speed, and all the attention the car gets, but no matter what you modify it always comes with headaches.

It's really either all or nothing for me, but unless someone comes to me with a big wad of cash I'll be keeping the car for the long run.

thats why im wery now! lol!

as for Tuarran's response, I understand what your saying, thats why I have always been kinda scared to boost a car that never came boosted.

The only car I have seen that has not given much problems boosted are cars that come stock already boosted, My freind has a 98' 240sx with a sr20det and has had no issues in the past 5 years. Another freind has a older evo and has had the same sucess. I dont know much about FI but its somethings I have noticed in all the car forums I have been to. just my 2 cents.

Any time you do any sort of modification it will come with headaches. The more mods, the more heaches. I don't care what kind of car it is. You just don't hear about most of the smaller ones from owners. It's nothing wrong with the car usually. It's just part of the game.

Not true. Simple enough.

Problems are always proportional to the extent of modifications on a car, NA, turbo, electric, whatever... I didn't come here to debate it with the naive members of this forum so I'll leave it at that.

wasn't directed towards you, and honestly Taurren has done some exceptional things with his car and headaches were bound to arise. I have all my work done at a shop so if something goes wrong they can deal with it. Yeah, yeah i'm going to get flamed but thats just me.

I sunk Thousands upon thousands of dollars into my Z. And thats with me doing all of the labor. I am still waiting to get a chance to fully enjoy all of the power potential hidden in these motors. But once I get a taste, I don't think I'll be selling until I get my moneys worth out of the car for what I put into it.

No Sale for Me!

Haha I'm about to edit it. I just had a not so pleasant conversation with someone and then posted in anger haha. I wouldn't sell mine. I have too much tied in to it and would never get what I wanted.

Craig I would especially hate to see you sell your car. You more so than almost anyone on here know about the struggles of doing something big.

i've had mine for about 5 years now. had it apart down to basic chassis and suspension. i have seen every last inch on the Z inside and out and just ready for a new project. not much left i could even do to my Z. some of the other guys probably feel the same way if they do their own work.
realistically, the car will never be as perfect to sell than right now after just finishing it. so if i planned to sell, right now is the time to do it.
i love cars, not one specific car. true i will shed a tear to see it go, but the excitement of going and getting a new body style viper will be awesome!!

Overzealous, I hear you. Its easy for me to sell the car (and even offer a one year warranty on it) since I do all the work and then on top of that, I made all the parts with my own hands. I can do it again and again and again, etc..........because it is my job, my life and what I like to do And there is a certain Porsche I have my eye on!

ROI is just to low to sell.
I'd rather just enjoy the car until it falls apart. Emergencies can always happen to the best laid plan, but until then i couldn't imagine taking a big hit like that.
