Looking to buy a boosted Z
Here's my .2 cents....The guys with 03's, the car should be paid off by now(if you took out a loan) and don't you think the 03's will be worth something in the future due to it being the first year that they came back out with the Z. Just park it in the garage and see if it appreciates over the years. My first car was a 69 Mustang Mach 1 and if I knew back then that they would be worth $$$$$$ today, I would of never sold it. Lesson learned

i have far too much stuff right now and have 2 cars and 1 truck i would like to sell. after selling those, that will still leave me with 3 vehicles. 4 to turn right around and buy a viper. i'm kinda feeling like sanford and son right now
I think it would be a safe bet that these built/boosted cars will depreciate to nothing and pretty much stay there. Lets face it, you have to find th exact right person to buy a car as altered as these listed in here are.
Ive had more issues than most of these guys, from stock block to now even built. Ive broken more parts as well, and Im hanging in. Im way to deep to let go. For where I am in my life now, the car far surpasses anything else I could want or afford, its just nasty
way to stay with the Z Alberto. The Z was my first ever car that was fast (relatively) and that i've put so much money and mods in. I'll be keeping it around for a while as well and hope to be built one day.
I've been without my car for 14 months....so at this point it's really not that hard to move on.
All this $ and i still have yet to enjoy the car.....might as well collect some $ and finish building my FD

Just a question, I have a few people telling me that getting a boosted Z would not be a good idea for fear of a blown motor...my two options are getting a boosted car (2003-2004 models) or starting over with a 2006-2007. I really don't think I have the time and money to start over with bonestock 06,07. So what do you guys think i should do.
Many of the cars you're seeing here I would not count on blowing up. As long as the work was done by a reputable shop and tuned by a knowledgeable tuner you should be fine.
Know the specifics about the build and I'd post it up here and see what the very knowledgeable members here say about it if you find one that peaks your interest.
If you don't find one that you like then I'd say go with a newer Z and do it yourself (through a shop you're comfortable with). Although be forewarned it's NOT a cheap date by any means. If you buy a well taken care of and built Z it's quite a bit cheaper, but like you said you may run into not knowing a whole lot about it. Boost can be a risky thing, but done correctly it can be quite reliable.
