sfr engine build
welp, I've got the Turbonetics kit, had it for about a month, and never thought I'd get "used" to the power, but after the help of getting pounded by a camaro z28, I've decided this needs a lil more umpf! Noticed the sfr engine block, seemed to look pretty good, however was wondering if anyone has any recommendations either other than this or parts to purchase with it?? Mods I have so far are Turbonetics kit and greddy evo II exhaust. whats the next step? Obviously a new clutch (which this stock clutch is holding up pretty well) and I really am not looking to go twin turboed.

This has been discussed hundreds of times. There are several ways you can go to achieve your goals. My 2 pieces of advice.
1. Dont waste all the $$$ ona build with the TN kit, it wasnt designed for built motors.
2. Search your options, educate yourslef, and then YOU decide what is best for you, your goals, and budget. Good luck.

+1 on what Alberto said.
Were you looking into the SFR assembled shortblock?
I would call the shop that did your install, and see if they can work you a deal on an engine build.

Since in your other thread you were street racing this Camaro that whomped on you, i will offer you no advice so you can get faster and then street race again.

I still think there's hope for making nice power on the Turbonetics ST kit. There is already at least one car making over 500whp on it. With a couple more modifications and a built motor I think you may be able to actually max out that turbo.
As far as blowing the motor on the kit, it happens on any kit if you push the car hard enough. Supporting mods can only do so much, as well. It's all about the quality and thoroughness of the install and the tune, but either way it's just a matter of time on any stock block car.
