So far it seems like the only method to rid oneself of misfire codes is an ECU reflash, GTM claims to have it covered.

With TTs , S1s, 650CCs, UTEC , and no CATs , no bung extender, I never had an O2 CEL . Jsst regular mis-fire codes.
I know that, my post was vage. I was directing it towards dutchboy. He stated the only reason he hasn't gone F/I in VA was because of the CEL.

My two best friends live in VA, and are both turbo'd and have no issues.

Thanks, Good to know. I have tests pipes with non-foulers and never threw a CEL. I recently just passed emissions with them on. So I'm good for the next two years. If it's just a few random misfires a month that throw the CEL, I think I could deal with that.

Can you use headers? Also whats the best exhaust you can use with this kit. So much for getting the dual greddy ti.. I really like this kit. I was going to go with the aps tt but this looks like a better route. Is there anyway to get a dump off the wastegate?

Default mis-fire codes

The mis-fire codes are often the result of larger injectors at startup.
The OEM ECU flash doesn't have the map for the larger injectors , so until a piggyback kicks in, it'll run rich and cause misfire codes.

however; If you have OEM or relatively small injectors 440cc , the issue is less. Agressive CAMs can also exacerbate the occurance as well.

What's the point? It'll just come back anyways...

You don't want it there all the time. If you have a serious problem NOT related to random misfires or O2 sensors you'll never know the difference if the CEL is never cleared.

Serious problems make the CEL flash I've come to live with it seeing as how I have a code scanner and can erase codes whenever I want. It's just that when I do the CEL comes back within a few days

That would be the first thing I'd buy if I ever went f/i.

I don't really care about the check engine light, it bothers me more that it's on all the time in the sense that I have to look at it.

There's no check engine code that I can think of that could save my motor.

The first thing I did when my check engine light came on was a full throttle run so I could see if the utec was messing up, or if I had any new knocks in the motor.

If a sensor fails, chances are it wont effect the motor, any sensor like a MAF should cause the car to run like crap, so you wouldn't go around at full boost anyways, only sensor I would care about failing with out knowing is the MAP sensor, too bad that's outside of the stock ECU and even if it is bad wouldn't throw a code. at least I assume it wouldn't.

Bottom line, I don't think any sensor can tell you if you have a rod about to bend or a piston that will break. you have stock gauges that show engine temp, oil pressure, and if you did things right you also have an A/F gauge.

IMO more then enough to keep an eye on your motor.

Thanks for all the documentation for us lurkers! May I ask your impressions on the spoolup after max boost? It looks like its hitting its 6psi by 3k rpms which is pretty impressive. Would you say the car is autoX'ible with a gt35r? Do you have the default (.82a/r) housing size?

Powerlabs says its a "Garrett GT35R Dual Ball Bearing Turbo with .82 A/R Turbine"

As far as auto x goes... I've never been, the car clearly has lag at lower RPMs Dave told me he felt it had a bit less lag then a TN kit so take that for what its worth.

How the hell are you holding the camera and shifting at the same time?! Sounds great though.
