My tt Experience so far!
I recently did a Greddy TT into my 350z.
The car was tuned at gtm for 414 hp at 7psi.
There are a few things i've learned
#1) gtm are a great bunch of guys.
#2) My true dual 50mm exhaust is not as bad of a bottleneck as i had once though
#3) open dumps are pretty dang loud on the street, i am planning on plumbing it back into the exhaust
#4) the Spec Twin clutch is amazingly streetable. It is the superlightweight version, it was lighter by almost 35 lbs than stock. it doesnt chatter but makes lovely grinding noises around 2k. It was a great price and hold so far.
#5) i will refuse to use redline fluid ever again. My oil pressure has dropped and my tranny shifts pretty bad. Motul seems to be the better option
#6) first gear is totally useless now even with 285's
#7) with the greddy tt i've noticed not much lag at all.
#8) bleeding the coolant is vital to a healthy motor.
I am glad i did turbo however i am already in the back of my mind preparing for a new motor. Also with all these amazing threads that people like eagle and alberto are doing it is great reading material and helping me with my motor build. FYi i did all the work minus tuning and i spent close to 11k on the tt kit with accessories. Even now i still notice i am missing a few pieces like oil cooler and water temp.. There are tons of pieces that need to be done that i thought i had not overlooked. I am now in the 400whp club and i am loving it... Also with the greddy install i modified some pieces like adding an aps oil pan for added oil capacity.. all this lead to more time down fabbing an lines and making sure everything fit perfect. another major piece i noticed is the greddy coolant container truely is in a ungodly and unsightly place. I ultimately ended up buying a braille battery and placed the coolant reservoir in the battery location... pretty good stuff..

Why is that? I have 48k miles on my TT and never touched the coolant.
Air should not be getting into a properly running coolant system.

Remember shielded CAS wires?

ceo - definitely... we will have to take a quick spin..
aloh - Sadly i got popped 20 minutes outside the tuner and will more than likely tear the car down to stock go to the state ref then re-install everything. it sucks but you gotta pay to play and i knew going in this could happen. it just sucks it happened so soon. + there are a few more things i wanna heat wrap and modify before going back to FI, just dont know when to do it.
taurran - because i pulled the motor out and everything was practically drained i am keeping a close eye on the coolant and temp. it hasnt spiked yet however after any hard romp when i get home and let it cool the coolant gets a little low and i need to fill it up consistently. i dont blame it on air getting into the coolant system i blame it on nissan overcomplicated cooling system. i am certain there are still air bubbles that just will not go away...
