good radar detector helps me a alot.......my Valatine radar detector saved me several times on the 15FW.........but still alway worry.

New built motor and Greddy kit owner also. 1300 miles on the kit and running smoothly at 12psi.

 

I think he mentioned in another post that it was loud exhaust and no front plate...that may have been enough of a reason to look deeper.

 

actually my car is super quiet. quieter than stock...
i was doing 65 mph not speeding not WOT not anything..
the cop goes on the far left looks over notice no plate and pulls me over.
Honestly w/ the vertex rear he cant even see my exhaust...
yup fun times..

 

man that sucks, sorry to hear! all that labor I'm from Southern Cali, I went through that with a crx back when I was 20 yrs old, had to sell the car after getting red flagged by a ref station..california sucks for having a fun vehicle... out here in new mexico, you can do pretty much whatever you want, helps that most of the cops here I know because they train at the same MMA school
