Time to start making ramen and cheese quesidilla's for the next 6-9 months so I can maybe afford a PF turbo.

So to ask a question that is slightly OT but close enough for me to ask.
GTM took the G37S to pretty high numbers and I would expect PF will take the HR to some decent numbers too. Both engines have significantly stronger rods than the DE's and they both have higher compressions than the DE. So has anyone just upgraded the rods and kept the stock pistons in a DE? Or at least put back similar compression pistons?

Again the HR is much stronger than the DE. It should be able to handle almost if not the same boost as the 3.7HR

You're making assumptions. For all anyone knows they could use a weaker rod bolt that makes it every bit as sensitive to boost as any other VQ motor. I'd rather wait to hear some results from an actual boost VQ35HR.

We also have a kit for the VQ35HR that is being prototyped on our 07' 350Z.
Currently both kits are available for sale, but only for in house installation and tuning, transportation services are available.
As soon as time permits we will wrap up our 07' 350Z test vehicle and post some results as well.

Why don't you do us a favor and install some turbos real quick, crank up the boost to 550whp, and hope it doesn't blow before coming back and getting your panties in a wad?
I'm not sure why all 07+ owners believe that they're king badass just because they bought a late model car.
