Knock on Revup Running Utec ...
Anyone running Utec with Revup on their FI'd car? I have this problem were I get knock around 2700rpm - 3000rpm under ECU control. This usually happen just before I hit 0 psi and I can't seem to get rid of it. ECU isn't pulling timing so I'm not sure it is false knock or not. My Knock Setting around 2000-3000rpm is 100. AAM said that Revup is notorious with this and a reflash is needed. I just want to make sure that it is a fact coz I'm thinking of getting a reflash.

interesting.... maybe change your open loop parameters to 0psi? What do you have your parameters at now? You sure its not shift knock? I get a little blip of knock occasionally when I first go into boost after not driving it for a day or more... maybe carbon build up? After that it goes away.. strange.

thats a tough spot to tune w/ the utec from what i understand because isn't that where the ecu/utec transition point is?
This is just my opinion, but i don't think that the situation you just stated is cause for extreme alarm. Certainly it is something you want to remedy, but detonation at higher torque levels is what will kill the motor, not at <1psi.
You are deff more **** than i am w/ logging that much !!! lol

Does your problem happen in every RPM? Mine only happen around 2700-3000rpm but maybe my Knock Setting on 3000+rpm is to low to detect it.

Thanks Julian. I might mix some race gas and see if it goes away before I lower my settings.

Looks like he is in need of the reflash huh? LOL...

The question is if it is knock then how much does the ECU usually pull timing?
Here are some sample logs and most of the time th timing is unchanged.. I notice on one of the logs that the ECU did pull timing.

Side note the stock ecu pulls enough away to make the knock event stop. I am not stock ecu God but they usually have a knock correction map which they store in the ram to keep the events from reoccurring. The problem is depending on how long this correction is applied it may come back so switching to richer target in the 10 percent column would be a much safer direction to go. Also, this is the type of knock of event where you hear of someone just cruising on the highway and they just tip in and the rod immediately goes through the block.
