should i reinstall my revup lower plenum?
Ok. wanted peoples opinion on this one! i have my car pulled apart right now due to a leaking blower oil seal and a spark plug change. i currently am running the M-REV lower plenum with the 5/16 spacer from motordyne. i have never run my vortech setup with the revup lower plenum. i installed the vortech with the M-REV at the same time, during my last tune at GTM i made 430 rwhp 390 torque at 6200 rpm. i am wondering if i reinstall the revup lower if this will broaden my power band but with the sacrifice of losing a bit of torque at the wheels. also do you think my boost level will drop due to the larger surface area of the revup plenum ( larger/shorter runners ) which would not be such a bad thing seeing im pushing 14 psi at 6600 rpm right now. What do you think? i can take pics of the plenums so you can visually see the difference.

All depends whether you want
1. Broader midrange, more meat under the curve = Mrev2
2. Peak hp increase past 6200 rpms = revup
For turbos with so much midrange torque, I think the revup is probably a better choice to keep the power from falling off. I don't know if anyone has actually quantified the difference. Look for JETPILOT's posts.

i went back to my stock revup plenum and sold my mrev2. there is no need for any extra torque in the midrange with a turbo setup.........all these turbo kits spool up quickly and have fat torque curves already.

isnt the point of changing cogs on the revup vortech kit to get more usable power in the midrange? Why would you then want to get rid of some of that midrange power? If you have a free flowing exhaust you should make good power up top anyways. When I drive I spend most of my time in the mid to upper mid rpms, and that is where I want a lot of my power to be.
Just my .02.

On a vortech car, I would probably keep the mrev2. having that extra 20-30 ft-lbs in the midrange would be nice.
