quick stupid vortech question

Default quick stupid vortech question

Hey guys I sent out my vortech to get rebuilt and they put the cog pulley on the blower on backwards, can someone tell me how to switch it do I just loosen the allen bolt will it come off? Thanks

you have a allen bolt holding on your s/c cog? that does not sound right!!! do you have a pic so i can see the installation. rev up or none revup? there is a difference on how the s/c cog is spaced on the two different installations.

JET, I think he means the cog pulley on the blower - mine has the allen bolt as well. I would have no clue the best way to get that off though :-/

mine is secured on with a hex head bolt. my buddys non revup vortech is the same way ( hex bolt ).

Whoa, that pulley is gigantic compared to mine (the one on the blower). Although, I'm not well versed on the different cog setups. But mine has the allen head flush with the pulley.

Jet the newer ones are coming with an allen bolt!! dont ask me why... i dont know how you can even torque it down hear as much but idk

it's a 28 tooth cog on the s/c. 32 tooth on the j/s.
