That's my big point aswell everyone is like I rocked mine on a stock engine with no problems. but that's all relative because I can slap one on a z with 20k miles and of course it will run fine. however when talking about a car pushing 100k that's a whole nother ballgame. like college vs the nfl lol

75k when I boosted it. It was my daily and I beat on it every chance I got with a few drag strip nights. Was a pretty reliable setup. Had some belt slippage issues, but after that was fixed, I loved it.

slidefox, your the man. this thread has been the building block to get me going on my build. i have a 04 350 track edition, i've decided on the power lab single turbo kit since i'm only looking for a smaller gain in hp.....for now anyways. -just curious on what pistons might be the best bang for the buck? bang being quality. -any recommendations for a shop i can trust with my build near NE Ohio? money isn't as big of an issue as quality of work. -has anybody dealt with slowmotion out by columbus OH? yay or nay? thanks again for all info

I picked up a built 350Z with a greddy twin turbo kit a few days ago. It was a steal! I paid 10k with only 25,000 miles, but now I have it in the shop because the slip light and check engine light came on. Plus car went limp. I ordered a new throttle body due to the fact that my mechanic said that 9 times out of 10 that's what the issue is. Should have it ready and going by monday. Since I purchased the car already tuned will replacing the throttle body change my tune?

Give national speed a call. They hade two display sets with momentum. An engine wit momentum kit and a car with momentum in it. They also had the single exhaust hanging up. They are in north carolina

I have a bone-stock 2005 35th AE w/ MT. It currently has 59K and I plan on keeping the car. I'm interested in installing a turbo system running in low boost and gradually upgrade all systems and eventually building or buying a built motor. I'm interested in driveability, reliability, and ease of maintenance. I don't care so much about top-end capability but want a quick spool with power starting early in the curve. I do intend to run high-flow cats and will do a custom exhaust w/ Vibrants if necessary.

The car is not a DD and would be used mainly on the street and on the track just a couple of times a year.

I was considering upgrading on the NA path but don't want to waste $ on little benefit and a lot of noise.

I live very close to AAM and Hill's Garage is nearby as well.

Here's what I'm considering:

AAM Competition BorgWarner Twin Turbocharger System using 2 x BorgWarner EFR 6758 turbochargers (currently on presale special).

SOHO Motorsports Single Turbo kit using the Garrett GTX 35 series turbo.

Another possibility is the BP .84 twin-scroll with BB upgrade but I don't know the availability yet.

After install and tune I think the AAM would probably cost about $2-3K more than the others. Price isn't the major factor.

What would prefer on your car and why?

Well If i was close to AAM and had the money i would go that route since they will be doing the install and the tune. Its seems like one hell of a deal right now plus you can take it directly to the Drags and get a couple more grand off of the price!

How can you tell the difference on the Rev up oil pumps?

Edit : Im looking at some pics...another thing noticed was Rev looks to have "k5" and non looks to have "k1" , it could say something else also, kinda hard to see.

Hi guys, I've been looking over a lot of the posts on the forums like the "forced induction for noobs" since I've never had a forced induction setup on any car let alone the 350z that I have. I was wondering what sort of power I'd be able to achieve, roughly, from these sorts of parts.

So I have a high mileage 350z that I picked up a month ago and I plan to make it into sort of a weekend car and completely tear everything out of it.

What I've decided on:
IPP Stage 3 Long Block
GTM Stage I/II Turnkey/SP TT Kit (I haven't really decided between the systems yet, any opinions?)

Now i'm still compiling a list and going over it with a shop to determine the supporting mods that would most compliment the system. With just taking a long block and throwing on a TT kit, what sort of figures would you guys think that puts up with a proper tune?

I know a lot of people are going to suggest that I take a short block and build it or that since I have quite a large budget either swap a LS or just buy a better car. A TT 350z has always been rather a dream of mine, and I have the money to build it so, yeah.

I'm currently looking through clutches and fuel returns, but in the mean time I just wanted to get a few opinions. I see everybody making 400 on stock blocks which I've heard has longevity issues, so I was curious on the power and longevity of running a TT system on a long block. I have a goal of around 500-600 horsepower, anything more would in my opinion make the car extremely expensive and almost un-drive able on the streets.

I got a 3000gt vr4, and bought another complete engine with a set of twins for it.

After i get done building my 3k, is there a way i could get a piping kit and a manifold kit to use these turbos on my z?

Lots of modification will be needed, im aware of that. Anyone trust ebay piping, and use my own turbos. Of course after i rebuild them and what not.

The only cheap ebay piping I would use is the aluminum charge pipes. I can't tell between the ebay pipes and Greddy. Any down pipe, manifold, or exhaust related piping, no way, too thin, too prone to cracking.

Well that pretty much decided which kit i'm going to install. Thanks for the info. I guess i'm going to stay away from the GT Motorsports page from now on. I used the search button to get a general idea but this was much more specific in terms of power numbers or opinions than I could find on this site.
