Good gravy! That must be amazing and scary in equal amounts at the same time!!

The 0-60 IS a decent spec to ask about. Most speed limits stop at 70 anyways (and NO, I don't drive that slow...speed limit is 85 in NJ and as fast as you can get away from the roadrage driver next to you), so asking about acceleration in the range makes sense. People keep asking me what they think mine will be and i work for a car company (manufacturing, not dealership).

If that information is not important, then you think it isn't cool for a exotics to hit 60 in under 4 seconds? Come on, this spec is the cause of car-lust as we know it!!!!

0-60 is silly in the fact that the high hp cars who are serious about putting the power down run slicks. Most of us dont run slicks on the street, so in my case saying 0-60 in X.X sdeconds is dumb cuz who knows what its like on street tires having problems hooking up.

If I understand your point, big IF, I believe you are exactly wrong. The numbers that we would be comparing our cars 0-60 times are of other cars on street/stock tires. This makes for a very level playing field.

People ask all the time for my 0-60 time. I assume it's under 5 secs buts that's about all I know. I would love to say I have the same 0-60 as say an F430 or a 911.

I know I can go from 0-100 in 7.36 seconds( and that was on my old stock block setup)

That was my trap speed and et at the 1/8 mile marker

I think most people here are more interested in trap speeds, which is why you wont have a lot of people chiming in with their 0-60 times....

most people that dont track , end up messing around from a roll, where trap is more important... ppl dont usually screw around from a dig on the street...

So if I understand you correctly....you are saying that a FI'ed Z/G with 600+ ft/tq would run a faster 0-60 than a stock Z/G running on the same crappy street tires

If that is what you are saying....you have never driven a car with 600+ ft/tq

60' time has much more meaning that 0-60.
a much better judge is 60-130 these days. oh and that record for a street car is 3.9s (Hal, do you perchance have that logged on your car? Would be interesting to see what you guys did 60-130in) Thanks

If you've been to the track and have a recorded 1/8 time and trap this calculator will give you a rough estimate.
