Does my turbo seem loud?
Just today, when I shut off my car I noticed the turbo spinning down, I've never noticed this before. At first I thought it was my a/c/heat fan still spinning.

It seems a bit loud/grainy doesn't it? or am I just hearing things.
Sorry for the low volume, sound clip taken from my digital camera.
turbo has around 200 miles on it. (gt35r)

i think its fine....
liek they told you, remember to always let the car idle a bit before shutting it down.
Not my first turbo car, even if I were to run it hard right before shutdown, I doubt in 200 miles if not less, it would show signs of cooking. Also with both oil and water cooling, it shouldn't be anywhere near as much of an issue VS the old school non ball bearing oil cooled turbos like I had on my Civic. Either way, I always take it easy right before putting it up and still let it sit for a bit before getting out.
Main thing that throws a flag is that I've never noticed it before, and after today (good bit of driving as with A LOT of standing still due to traffic) I noticed it. It's not the fact that I can hear it spinning, its that it has a slight grainy sound to it, it reminds me of my old roller skate wheels when I spin one.
Next time I have the front bumper off I'll remove the air filter pipe and check for any extra play in the turbo.

you guys are talking about "COKING", not "cooking."
.....and coking happens to the oil, not the bearing. When the oil cokes, it will impede oil flow to the bearing surface.
