Default summer heat + vortech = slooooow!

I took my z out yesterday and today for the first time in 95-102 degree heat and i can believe how slow it felt. I feel like it's just a little faster than Na. I am wondering if there is a problem with my car/tune or if it's just that i had my car tuned in the cold weather and there is no temperature compensation on the split second box.

3.12 pulley and it's hitting close to if not 9 psi. going by my wideband it's running 10.4-10.6 compared to the normal 10.6-10.9. I thought there was a problem with my car but at night when it gets cooler , it feels a lot quicker!

Sounds about right, not much you can do about it, all cars suffer in heat. I was thinking the same thing last week, it sucks

I doubt it's slow. Race a Z like mine. All cars will suffer in heat. Here in NC, it feels like July/August already. RIDICULOUS for driving enjoyment.

Its your tune dude. Colder= leaner+quicker boost , hotter=richer+slower boost response. Summer time sucks for boosted cars

I am right there with you...just got my PL ST back...it felt the same....decently faster than stock but nothing to write home about driving in 90+ degree heat. I got on it today with it being about 85 degrees and already you can feel the difference.

I think it is the summer, not your tune causing the power decrease. My Z felt slower even NA in the summer

Everyone's car is slower in the summer. It's not like the vortech cars slow down any worse than other cars

just dont speed during the day, all your doing is killing your motor, if you dont have something to cool it down with. I only step on it when the weather is under 80*

There are several ways to combat the heat... Water injection as mentioned, you could also get a CO2 spray setup.

Also heatsoak will be raising your IATs as well, so insulating your charge pipes can help.

his afr is not optimal either. Running mid to low 10's is not going to help his cause.
