My aps st install
Well I started on my aps st install. I dont get a lot of free time to work on the car but it is going forward so no complaints there.
I only have a few things left before I start on the turbo.
I have to the studs on each exhaust manifold outlet flange. The only prob with that is when I put both nuts on the stud to remove it, both nuts turn
. So a friend told me to pic up a star socket to remove it. Anyone know what size.
Another step I have left is to remove the p.s. cooler. I dont think that should be hard. I still have to tackle the fuel pump. I bought the kit used so I dont have a fuel pump, regulater or the injectors. I dont have the aps unchip either. I do how ever have the utec. Not sure what fuel pupm to go with and what I acc I need to go with the fuel system, so thanks for anyhelp. I was told to go with 650cc injectors. My enigine has a built bottom end with eagle rods, weisco pistons bored .20 over and ceramic coated. arp hardware. It was built by kyle at importparts pro. I have a jwt clutch and fw set up as well. Thanks for anyhelp and reccomendations. I had 4 wisdome teeth cut out this weekend so I wont be doing anything.
If anyone know someone that has an aps st exhaust for sale let me know.
I will post some pics next time I go back to work on the car. It is in a friends garage.

For the fuel pump you should get a Walbro 255 intank fuel pump, and follow the install guilde on the CJ motorsports web page. It is a very simple guide, and easy to install.
i wanna say E8 for the exhaust studs, but i don't remember for sure. I think sears even sells the external torx stuff now, so you should be able to pick up a whole set for a pretty good price.

If you get those injectors, you will need an adjustable, or at least a lower pressure, FPR to lower the fuel pressure. the unichip will not be able to control them.
edit:
yes they are a direct drop in and require the oem wiring harness
I do not have the unchip. I bought the kit used. It came without the unchip, injectors, and fuel pump. I have the utec in just working on finding out what else I need and buying it. If anyone has any parts they reccomend let me know. I don't plan on going with a fuel return system for now but want to get the most reliable power from the kit. I was guessing around 400whp.
well if anyone is fowelling this, I have not done much else. I test fitted the turbo and made sure the oil drain bracket mounted up. I got a set of injectors and installed those. The o rings that I got for them looke a little thinner than the stock ones but I guess they will expand with the heat off the engine.
I am at the point where I am installing some of the lines but being a used kit I am missing some of the fittings, such as the one that bolts into the block near the ac compresser. It is a union that connects a water line to the turbo. I could not find one localy so if anyone know where I can get the missing fittings let me know, thanks. That is the next step hopfuly I can get seom early this week.

first step to finding the missing fittings is to look at the APS website, and get the sizes of the parts you are missing. Then when you try and order them you will know what you are talking about. Some of those parts are pretty common in the high performance fitting world, and ban be found pretty easily. Some you may have to do some searching. Or just get a list together and talk to one of the shops that specializes in the Z and of course sells APS.

The part numbers are as follows if anyone can help.
part number
160 -adapter st.3/8bsp x 9/16jic
162- adapter st. 14mmx 9/16 jic 2 of them
164- adapter st. 9/16 uni x 3/4 jic
156- adapter st. 1/8 bsp x 7/16 jic
well the car is together and running. did a few pulls on the dyno starting at 7psi the car mad 337whp and 305tq on a mustang dyno. Then it trough on the tcs, slip, enigne light, and i think brake light. In kinda stuck now and im not sure what happend. I think it trough a code that read etc and dealer only or something like that. I opend a tread about this under the maintance section. https://my350z.com/forum/maintenance...en-dynoed.html
