NOS Halo intercooler kit worth it?
Sooo doing the utec and meth injection soon for the z to get rid of hopefully all of this damn ping, but was also curious about the NOS Halo kit that sprays on the surface of your intercooler to dramatically cool the air. Havn't heard or found much about it on here, anyone have any thoughts? Should I look in to getting this? You see, in the middle of the night it's already at temps over a 100! That's in the middle of the night, the z needs some MAJOR help w this az weather!

IF your doing the meth injection then you don't need this. The Halo kit sprays nitrous across the outer bars of the intercooler to cool the charged air. If you are using meth injection, then that is doing the same thing, but from the inside, and is a little more effective. So it would be like having two seperate systems for the same thing; just one internally and one externlly.

All I've heard is that you have to be careful that nitrous doesn't get sucked into the intake. You can use co2 as well, although it won't be as affective and can cause some issues with any paint that it touches? I'm actually considering going this route w/ spraying water on the intercooler instead of meth injection, but we'll see.

If you search past posts by bldrz you will see dyno results for our set-up using the spray bar. I would say you are better off just using your meth kit. Nitrous is too expensive to use as a cooling device on your intercooler. I forget our exact gains but it is in our thread.

Over 100 at NIGHT? Yikes man....
If you spray CO2, you could suck it in the intake effectively reducing O2 into the engine.....counteracting what the turbo is trying to do:cram more O2 in the chamber. C02 spray is good as long as your intakes can't get a whiff of it. Never heard of an issue with the paint....
