Default Borla TD

I've installed a set of Borla TD Exhaust. If I want to go twin turbo setup in the future, would Borla TD be recommended for turbo.... or other better suggestions?

I would get at least 2.5 inch TD for TT.

Borla is 2.5... did you mean 3"? That's usually what I see for FI.

Sorry but you're wrong, it's 2.25. I have personally measured it.

Sorry, you're right. >_< I should have known this considering I ordered the 2.25" Magnaflow X to put on mine.

Default Hola

Thanks guys! So what do you think? So even if I hook up the highly anticipated GReddy Twin Turbo for VQ35HR seen at SEMA 2007, will the Borla TD be sufficient for the TT setup? What do I have to lose/gain?

Thank you

can't wait for an HKS F-con!

It will work for now, but I would seriously look into a bigger exhaust in the mean time. The borla will be restrictive, so you will lose top end power and put more stress on the motor.

+1, you could get away with it in low boost setup though.

No you cant..........well my cats did do a burn out into my borla so i have a ton of soot into that single muffler which killed my power.I have a 5at auto and i could only get 351rwhp and 396rwt out of my borla which of course had a ton of cat convertor material in it.I had my stock cats basically implode due to the greddy twins and that crap is still in my exhaust even after i pulled the rear section off and dumped a ton of crap onto the floor.
I cant wait to get a 2.75" exhaust and retune it.

Wow that sucks. For the OP if you're keeping the Borla get test pipes.

I rocked borla on the stock block and still put down 425rwhp on sharif's dyno. Its not ideal, but it will work fine. Just dont run cats and you wont have a problem with restriction.

i ran borla to 573rwhp at 14psi boost with test pipes, no issues. i upgraded to dual 3" with intentions on raising the boost a bit.

i would say that with test pipes the borla is more than enough for all the power you are gonna make on a stock block
